It works in Mail and other applications. I know that sounds like a "grasping at straws"-type solution, but this is the sort of doesn't-make-sense kind of problem that I've seen fixed by logging out (or maybe even restarting). It's perplexing... You would think if this was an Apple issue it would affect more than just browsers, but someone above swears that this is an Apple bug - that may indeed be http://taskflowapp.com/not-working/safari-gestures-not-working.html
