after rebooting the PC it seems to work. it did go through on the PC (the settings are all changed and the registry keys are added) BUT ... I had been working on a problem where hot corners wouldn't start the screensaver and of course then I couldn't lock if I never got to the screensaver.The answer I found Your cache administrator is webmaster.
Well not before the monitor goes to sleep which is well after the 10 minutes the screensaver should kick in at. I wanted to know if there's a setting I'm missing that interfere's with setting the screensaver timeout password? Not screen lock related? Default: not enforced.
